Draft a Visualization Process with steps in your journal so you can repeat it daily and improve on it over time.Open your journal and answer. Start by clearly identifying what you want to achieve—the Goal. Then, what does that Goal look, sound, smell, taste, and feel like when completed? Specify the associated senses of the achievement. Feel the positive emotions of achieving your Goal. The more you associate with your visualization, the more powerful it will be.

Remember, this is your journey and goals, so feel free to personalize your visualization process to make it more effective.

Begin your visualization practice by following these steps:

  • Define Your Goal
  • Create a Detailed Image
  • Engage Your Emotions
  • Repetition is Key

In your journal, be specific and detailed. Instead of writing a visualization script with “success,” write a script with a specific achievement, as it will look at completion.

For instance, if your Goal is to run a book business that makes premium leather journals, visualize yourself holding a check for six figures, feeling the sweat on your skin, hearing the family’s cheers, and experiencing a sense of accomplishment as you see your books in the hands of millions.

Visualize yourself achieving this Goal in your mind’s eye. Use your journal entry as a guide to include as many details as possible.

Practice your visualization daily.
